This is the cover I designed for the magazine photoshop project. It contains 35 photo layers and two text layers. I got the idea to do this for my cover mainly because I just love movies. So, I went and found some of my favorite movie characters on Google images and cut them out using the mainly the Quick Selection Tool, and the Magnetic Lasso Tool. I really enjoyed doing this process because I had a fun time doing it and I think that my project turned out really well. I had never done photoshop before, and I'm glad that I got to do this. I would definitely enjoy doing more photoshop projects in the future because they are very fun to do, and I think that this turned out really well. Once I got the hang of how to use the tools it became very easy to do, but it sometimes got to be a pain to cut out tiny pieces of each picture because they either wouldn't cut the right way, or they'd cut too much, or not enough at a time, and it could get frustrating, but it wasn't a big deal and the more I did of it, the easier it got. As for the selection of characters in general, I just looked back at my favorite movies both classic and recent and picked my favorite characters from each of them, which is how Malcolm Reynolds from Serenity, Kick Ass, and Harry Potter worked their way on here. But hey, it’s my project right? What’s the fun in doing this if I’m not gonna do what I want with it?
